Affiliate disclosure

Last updated 18 June 2026.

DebtReliefScout is a reader-supported, independent resource. Some links to debt-relief, credit-counseling referral, and lending providers are affiliate links. If you connect with a provider through one, we may earn a commission or referral fee. This is disclosed under the U.S. FTC's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), which require transparency about any "material connection".

It costs you nothing extra

Affiliate commissions never change the terms, fees or rates a provider offers you — they are the same whether you use our link or go directly.

Commissions do not change our guidance

We present options on fit and risk, and we put free or lower-risk routes first — a nonprofit credit counselor (NFCC), a debt management plan, or talking to creditors directly. We say plainly when settlement or a merchant cash advance is expensive or risky, even where a provider pays us. We are not paid to recommend the riskiest option.

Networks

We work (or intend to work) with affiliate networks and providers such as Round Sky, CuraDebt, ClearOne Advantage and Reil Capital, directly or through CPA networks. Outbound affiliate links carry a rel="sponsored" attribute, and a short disclosure appears next to the calls-to-action, not only here. Free, non-affiliate resources (like the NFCC) are linked plainly.

Not a provider or advisor

DebtReliefScout is informational only and is not a lender, debt-relief company, credit counselor, or financial, legal or tax advisor. Questions? Contact [contact@ — set by operator].
